I used to spend 10–15 hours a week networking - yikes!

Hi Reader,

I used to spend 10–15 hours a week networking.

Breakfast meetings. Ribbon cuttings. Chamber events. Coffee meetings.

*** (for context, I used to be a Chamber Ambassador and while we we're volunteers, we we're required to attend about 70% of all the ribbon cutting as part of our volunteer commitment)

I thought networking was the path to opportunity.

But something strange kept happening.

People would ask what I do…

…and five minutes later they still didn’t really understand it.

That’s when I realized something important.

Networking wasn’t the problem. My pitch was.

Most people introduce themselves by listing titles, tasks, or services.

Which means people politely nod…and then forget you.

So I built a simple framework I now call the 30-Second Bankable Pitch.

It’s designed to trigger what I call the Lean-In Effect - the moment when someone leans in and says:

“Wait… tell me more.”

I just turned that framework into a mini-course.

Stop Networking. Start Being Chosen.

If your networking volume isn’t matching your results…

networking isn’t the problem.

Your pitch is.

You can get the course here: Stop Networking. Start Being Chosen.

To Becoming,

KM

Hi Reader, I had a coffee meeting with a female business owner and a dear friend yesterday. She just went over her 7 figures and she's never been so lost. It's obviously not because she doesn't know what she's doing, it's because she's making big decisions...alone. Every entrepreneur wants the same thing; how to go to their "next level". We need to talk. I know we think if we just make more money, we would solve all our problems. That's just not the case. You're smart, capable and have done...

Hi Reader, If you’ve ever been awful to yourself… Try saying those same words out loud to the woman sitting next to you. Or the next woman you see. Really say it. This week, I went to a curated event called, The Over 40 Revolution by Darina Neyret and I can't unhear so a lot of the takeaways I went home with it so I decided to write about it. I hope you don't mind. We were asked to think about the labels we’ve called ourselves before. Too fat. Too skinny. Too old. Too much. Not enough. Then...

Hi Reader, What a label to label self! That was my identity for a long time. If anything felt technical, I’d immediately tell myself,“That’s not for me.” And for a while, that story kept me feeling very safe. Safe from trying, failing and looking like I didn’t know what I was doing. What it also did was it kept me stuck. The truth is… I wasn’t confused because it was hard. I was confused because I was overthinking everything. Too many platforms, tools and opinions. I thought I needed to...
